College of Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine at OSU serves the needs of Oregon, the nation, and the world by reigning the next generation of practice-ready veterinarians, providing state-of-the-art diagnostic and clinical services, and supporting the continuing education of veterinary practitioners. Biomedical research conducted at the college increasingly expands the scope of veterinary medicine to address both animal health issues and the relevance of animal diseases to public health.

OSU College of Veterinary Medicine is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, Council on Education (COE). In 2011, 100% of the graduating class passed their board exams (higher than the COE standard of at least 80%). There are no areas of non-compliance and the next site visit is in 2014.
