  • Network - make connections, build relationships. Create a Networking Prospects List
  • Target companies you're interested and contact them directly; call them, knock on their door, visit their website and connect with individuals working with those companies
  • Attend Career Fairs and any other opportunities where you can meet with company representatives

Least Effective Ways to Find a Job:

  • Online - spend 10-20% of your job search time applying online
  • Finding openings on public websites – employers use those sites because they have jobs that are hard to fill and you have thousands of competitors
  • Mailing your resume at random
